Job Title: Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a manufacturing and clinical supply environment that needs an Engineer to help keep critical biopharmaceutical process equipment operating reliably. Our team is looking for someone who can provide system ownership, support technical improvements, and help reduce downtime in a fast-paced, regulated setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide system ownership for biopharmaceutical process equipment and support ongoing operational reliability.
- Lead or support engineering improvements, equipment upgrades, and modifications from concept through startup and validation.
- Coordinate maintenance, commissioning, qualification, and technical issue resolution to help minimize production downtime.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and new product or technology introductions through engineering assessments and runs.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Engineering experience, or Associate’s degree and 8 years of Engineering experience, or High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Engineering experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience with 2+ years in a biopharmaceutical operations or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as cGMP, OSHA, or EPA, with familiarity in GMP quality systems including change control, non-conformances, CAPA, and qualifications/validation.
- Direct knowledge of design and troubleshooting for GMP biopharmaceutical production facility equipment and systems, including filling, lyophilization, inspection, autoclaves, clean in place systems, washers, clean steam, and water for injection.
- Ability to work flexible hours on a four-day, 10-hour-per-day schedule, including at least one weekend day, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
