Job Title: Mobile Engineer
Location: Traverse City, Michigan (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled facilities professional to support the safe, efficient operation of critical building systems across assigned locations. This role focuses on maintaining HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment to help keep operations running smoothly and downtime to a minimum.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair response work orders for facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and equipment.
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior and exterior areas, and related grounds and production equipment.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting conditions that may affect client occupancy and operations.
- Update work order status in real time, submit P-card receipts daily, and use CMMS systems such as Corrigo for work performed.
Required:
- Universal CFC recovery certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
- Minimum of four years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of overall system design and applications, plus experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration.
- Valid state driver’s license, availability for call-in work, willingness to join UFCW 951, and the ability to perform other duties as required; preferred experience includes CMMS systems, Word and Excel, two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC, UST Class B Certification, JLL provided training, and supermarket rack refrigeration.
