Job Title: Accountant
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team in a vital finance-focused role supporting shared services. Our team values accuracy, collaboration, and analytical thinking as core elements to ensure financial records and reports meet organizational standards and drive informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedural standards.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, providing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual expenses.
- Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems for improved reliability and efficiency.
- Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with payment and reporting requirements.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience with business case review, contract review, and budget analysis.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in forecasting and annual planning.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, and the entire Microsoft Suite and experience working with business partners and managers.
