Job Title: Accounting Manager – Direct Hire
Location: Inver Grove , Minnesota (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to lead a team responsible for commercial and refinery accounting within the energy sector. Our team values strong leadership, analytical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, providing leadership and support for talent development and performance assessments.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all activities follow company accounting calendars and policies.
- Direct the preparation of financial reports and analyses to support precise internal and external SEC reporting requirements.
- Support a strong internal controls environment and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives related to processes and systems.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Finance and/or Accounting functions.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience, including advancing levels of responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office suite.
