Job Title: AI Value Office Consultant
Location: New York (HYBRID)
Job Summary: We are working with a company seeking an AI Value Office Consultant to help shape, assess, and advance high-value artificial intelligence opportunities across the US business. This is a hands-on consulting-focused opportunity for someone who can connect business need, financial discipline, and delivery feasibility to help ensure AI investments are clearly defined, measurable, and set up for value realization.
Responsibilities:
- Build trusted relationships with US business stakeholders and proactively identify AI opportunities through interviews, workshops, process analysis, and review of transformation roadmaps.
- Develop clear problem statements, value hypotheses, and business cases that define benefits, costs, assumptions, baselines, KPIs, risks, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with delivery, architecture, data, technology, finance, and governance teams to assess feasibility, delivery routes, reuse options, and value-measurement plans.
- Track opportunity status, portfolio data, adoption, risks, and realized outcomes while preparing dashboards, reports, and decision materials for senior stakeholders.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience with a master’s degree, or 7+ years with a bachelor’s degree; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in management consulting, internal consulting, business analysis, digital transformation, technology strategy, analytics, or AI advisory.
- Experience with analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, automation, and agentic AI, plus awareness of data readiness, enterprise architecture, information security, Responsible AI, and technology risk.
- Experience in business case development, financial and non-financial value analysis, stakeholder engagement, and clear presentation of recommendations to senior audiences.
- Experience working across business, Finance, technology, data, risk, and delivery teams in a matrixed organization; utilities, energy, or another complex regulated, or asset-intensive industry is desirable.
- Experience with analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, automation and agentic AI, and how they can support business objectives.
- Experience with AI lifecycle from discovery and validation through build, deployment, adoption and value realization.
- Business analysis, process analysis, opportunity assessment and requirements-shaping methods.
- Financial and non-financial value assessment, including costs, benefits, ROI, total cost of ownership, assumptions, baselines and KPIs.
