Job Title: Assistant Civil Designer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to support civil design projects across a variety of sectors. Our team values attention to detail, collaboration, and technical proficiency to ensure successful project outcomes and efficient documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, and specifications.
- Support design tasks for storm drainage systems, water and sanitary sewer utilities, site development, roads, sediment and erosion control, traffic control, airports, and facility projects.
- Contribute to drawing production, layout, calculations, and refine sketches for non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
- Organize and maintain all project drawings, revisions, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and structured manner.
Required:
- Bachelor degree in drafting technology or related field with at least 2 years of related experience, or Associate degree with at least 3 years related experience, or 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
- Basic understanding of design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel.
- Proficient in design calculations, design systems, and application of civil discipline theory and practices.
- Ability to successfully pass a federal drug test, as required for federal projects regardless of state laws.
