Job Title: Assistant Structural Revit Designer
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an individual to join our team to support the design and production of detailed structural models and construction documents for a variety of civil projects. Our team values strong collaboration, technical proficiency, and attention to detail as this role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality results for diverse project types and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of detailed Revit structural models and the creation of construction drawing sets, including plans, sections, and details.
- Interpret engineer-provided sketches, markups, and calculations to produce accurate drawing deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, architects, and engineers to address and resolve BIM model conflicts and ensure quality output.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining project documents, including transmittals, PDFs, and shop drawing sets, in accordance with company and industry standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or a related field and at least 2 years of related experience, or an associate degree with 3 years of related experience, or 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.
- Basic proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Excel, and Revit.
- Understanding of structural components, construction documents, and the fundamentals of the civil engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on multi-discipline project teams.
