Job Title: Associate Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking an Associate Engineer to provide detailed quality control, inspection support, and hands-on build assistance for artwork deliverables and physical study materials. This position plays an important part in helping ensure files, configurations, and study stimuli are accurate, traceable, and ready for cross-functional review.
Responsibilities:
- Perform independent quality control and inspection of artwork files before they are shared with stakeholders or moved to the next process step.
- Review labeling artwork, including IFU, primary label, and carton materials, against approved references, SOPs, and established team procedures.
- Build and prepare physical study stimuli, including printed materials, device labels, and assembled package configurations, while maintaining version control and traceability.
- Document inspection findings clearly, coordinate corrections with designers, support improvement of checklists and job aids, and escalate issues with quality or schedule impact.
Required:
- Two to three years of experience in a quality-controlled, process-driven environment such as artwork production, labeling, packaging, print production, document control, manufacturing support, or a regulated industry.
- Ability to perform detailed visual and content inspections, identify discrepancies, follow defined review criteria, and maintain accurate records.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to complete precise cutting, folding, gluing, labeling, and assembly tasks to a consistent standard.
- Clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment within defined processes, and the ability to manage multiple assigned tasks and changing priorities.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, or comparable page-layout, artwork-production, prepress, or document-review software is preferred.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical-device, combination-product, consumer health, or other regulated artwork, labeling, packaging, or documentation activities is preferred.
