Job Title: Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer
Location: New Albany, Ohio (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking an Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for manufacturing equipment and automation systems within a GMP-regulated inspection and packaging environment. We are looking for a motivated professional who can help improve equipment reliability, support troubleshooting on production shifts, and contribute to compliance, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical engineering support for manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and utility systems in the inspection and packaging area.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on production and packaging equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
  • Read PLC ladder logic, support HMI interfaces, and collaborate with controls engineers and maintenance technicians on corrective actions.
  • Support root cause investigations, CAPAs, documentation updates, change control activities, and planned maintenance events on non-standard shifts.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant automation experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an Automation Technician, Controls Technician, Electrical Technician, or in a similar automation-focused role.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and the ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, sensors, motors, VFDs, industrial control systems, and HMI-based automation systems.
  • Ability to support automated packaging, inspection, or manufacturing equipment and work effectively on non-standard shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
