Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking motivated scientists who demonstrate a strong curiosity for research and a commitment to learning in a collaborative laboratory environment. Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and analyze biochemical and cell-based assays in accordance with established protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain and prepare mammalian cell cultures, reagents, and consumables to support genome editing, assay development, and assay deliveries.
- Document all experimental procedures and results in an electronic notebook, and report findings to the project team using data analysis platforms.
- Communicate progress, issues, and experimental results to project teams, demonstrating reliability, organization, and a collaborative approach.
Required:
- Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience.
- Foundational laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture and familiarity with established biochemical assays.
- Demonstrated skills in following standard operating procedures, executing experiments with discipline, and effectively documenting results.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to ask clarifying questions, and a positive, collaborative approach to team-based scientific work.
