Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated professional to support sophisticated molecular biology and genomics workflows within a dynamic research environment. Our team values strong independent learning, problem-solving abilities, and high engagement in routine, high-throughput laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nucleic acid isolation and quality control, quantitative PCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) library construction, including amplicon-seq and RNA-seq workflows.
- Operate high-throughput sequencers, sample quality control instruments, and automated liquid handling systems.
- Maintain common laboratory material stocks while assisting with BRAVO automation and sample/project organization.
- Document experiments accurately and support clear communication among the research team.
Required:
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genomics, or a related scientific discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with RNA/DNA isolation, PCR, and RNA sequencing workflows.
- Ability to operate sequencing instrumentation or laboratory automation systems and demonstrated proficiency with NGS library preparation.
- Strong independent learning ability, analytical skills, and comfort working within a repetitive, high-throughput setting.
