Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We seek a motivated specialist to support biomarker discovery initiatives by working with human samples and generating high-quality, reproducible data in a collaborative setting. Our team values strong technical proficiency and effective teamwork to help drive impactful discoveries in human immunology and molecular biology.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and analyze laboratory experiments with minimal supervision, focusing on established protocols involving human samples.
- Generate, document, and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reproducibility.
- Optimize assays, troubleshoot experiments, and operate key laboratory platforms to maintain data quality.
- Communicate results and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to advance project goals.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with human samples, including PBMCs and whole blood, using established techniques.
- Proficiency with flow cytometry, Luminex, ELISA, cell culture (primary immune cells preferred), RNA extraction, and qPCR.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and operating in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
