Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support the Protein Chemistry team as part of our multidisciplinary efforts in protein engineering, expression, and purification. Our team values expertise in biologic molecule purification and is committed to advancing therapies through rigorous scientific analysis and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform protein purification and analytical processes to support pipeline and technology development molecules.
- Accurately record and process experimental results using appropriate data handling and lab software.
- Troubleshoot and optimize purification and analytical workflows in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience, master’s degree with comparable expertise, associate degree and four years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with six years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with protein purification, particularly involving biologic molecules, using various chromatography techniques and instrumentation such as FPLC and software (Unicorn, ChromLab).
- Proficiency with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc.) and associated analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip).
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a lab environment handling robust data documentation.
