Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Associate Scientist for a 10-month on-site assignment in Thousand Oaks, supporting hands-on laboratory work in a fast-paced production environment. Our team is looking for a candidate who can contribute to mammalian cell culture, recombinant protein expression, and reliable data generation while working closely with colleagues across the lab.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine production and experimental work using established protocols to generate reproducible results.
- Support mammalian cell culture activities, including work with CHO and/or HEK systems, while maintaining strong aseptic technique.
- Monitor, analyze, and record experimental data, and communicate findings clearly to the work group.
- Assist with recombinant protein expression, production titer measurements, laboratory maintenance, and electronic lab notebook documentation.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree with no more than 1 year of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience.
- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
- Experience in a biopharmaceutical working environment.
- Experience with aseptic technique, recombinant protein expression, and CHO or HEK cell cultures.
