Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a search for an Associate Scientist to contribute to early discovery research within a cardiometabolic therapeutic area. This position offers the opportunity to generate, analyze, and interpret experimental data in a hands-on lab environment that supports ongoing programs and mechanistic studies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, conduct, and monitor in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies with limited supervision.
- Generate, organize, and analyze experimental data to support ongoing programs and produce reliable results.
- Maintain accurate ELN entries and data records while following established protocols, best practices, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Support mechanistic studies, reagent and tool molecule characterization, and effective communication of data and interpretation to the program team.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences discipline, plus 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree; or an Associate’s degree plus 4 years of experience; or a high school diploma/GED plus 6 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in a biopharmaceutical working environment.
- Experience with in vitro pharmacology, mammalian cell culture, and plate-based assay work, including compounds and dose-response data generation or evaluation.
- Ability to perform experiments, organize data, analyze results, and work with minimal supervision to generate robust and reliable data.
- Strong familiarity with general molecular biology and cell-signaling analysis techniques, including immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry, RT-qPCR, immunoprecipitation, and ELISA.
