Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking an Associate Scientist to support protein chemistry activities within a multidisciplinary research environment. Our team is looking for a scientific professional who can contribute to protein purification, protein analytics, data capture, and results presentation in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform protein purification using preparative chromatography techniques, including affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion methods.
- Carry out protein analytics using analytical techniques such as HPLC and MCE.
- Capture experimental data in LIMS and ELN systems, and compile large datasets for analysis.
- Summarize findings and present results to work groups and project teams while contributing to process and method development.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
- Hands-on experience in protein purification or protein analytics; candidates without either area of experience will not be considered.
- Experience with protein purification using chromatography techniques such as affinity, ion-exchange, and size-exclusion is preferred.
- Experience with protein analytical techniques such as HPLC and MCE is preferred.
- Familiarity with lab software such as Unicorn, Chromeleon, or ChromeLab is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, data handling capability, and the ability to communicate technical work clearly.
