Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting an opportunity for an Associate Scientist to contribute to routine biochemical and cell-based assay work in a fully onsite laboratory environment. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented professional who can help generate reliable data, maintain strong documentation, and support day-to-day assay activities for timely project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Execute routine biochemical and cell-based assays according to established protocols.
- Prepare reagents, samples, and assay materials, and operate high-throughput laboratory equipment and assay instruments.
- Record, organize, and review experimental data, and communicate results and observations to the team.
- Analyze assay data, contribute to summaries, presentations, and reports, and help troubleshoot routine experimental or equipment issues.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience following experimental protocols and documenting laboratory work.
- Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Industry experience in a biopharmaceutical or biotechnology setting is preferred.
- Experience with high-throughput laboratory instruments, such as Echo liquid dispensers and Multidrop dispensers, is preferred.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism and Genedata Screener is preferred.
