Job Title: Associate Scientist
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a confidential life sciences organization seeking an Associate Scientist to contribute to late-stage development work within a cross-functional team. This Associate Scientist opportunity focuses on analytical method development, protein characterization, and process development activities in a dynamic laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze late-stage protein-based therapies using advanced analytical techniques, including capillary electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, and compendial methods such as pH, visual appearance, and turbidity.
- Support the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of analytical methods.
- Prepare electronic notebook records, technical protocols, reports, and presentation materials for team meetings and regulatory support.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to advance therapies in late-stage development and support laboratory operations.
Required:
- Master’s degree with 2 years of scientific or pharmaceutical experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of scientific or pharmaceutical experience.
- Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline.
- Excellent laboratory skills with 2+ years of experience in industry laboratories.
- Analytical chemistry or biochemistry experience, with experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry preferred and GMP experience preferred.
- Expert-level experience troubleshooting and maintaining HPLC/UPLC instruments.
- Expertise in Empower software, including custom field creation and writing instrument methods.
