Job Title: Building Operating Engineer
Location: Nashville, Tennessee (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Building Operating Engineer opportunity supporting a busy commercial facility with hands-on responsibility for essential building systems. This role is focused on maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable operations through preventive maintenance, responsive repairs, and coordination with contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the CMMS with accurate information for building operating systems and completed work orders.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance services and respond promptly to service requests while minimizing disruption to occupants.
- Assist with equipment installations and replacements, review contractor and vendor work, and track parts inventory levels.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- EPA Universal certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working with computerized work order systems and CMMS platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple computerized building systems and control platforms.
- Commercial experience is strongly preferred, along with BAS experience and additional trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC/R.
