Job Title: Buyer
Location: Kent, Washington (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer opportunity supporting the external development of spaceflight systems in a fast-paced procurement environment. Our team is looking for a professional who can help drive supplier coordination, contract execution, and delivery performance while supporting strategic procurement objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct suppliers and teammates to support external development efforts and ensure program requirements are prioritized and executed effectively.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quote, perform price analyses, and support negotiation strategy development.
- Construct and manage multiple contract types, including long-range procurement agreements and sourcing partnerships, from requisition through final invoice payment.
- Support strategic agreements and procurement objectives while helping ensure materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical performance requirements.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a similar field with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Supply.
- Knowledge and experience in procurement and supplier management.
- Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and working knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Experience negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), and cost type contracts such as CPFF and CPIF.
- Required BUYER skills and English language ability to speak, read, and write.
