Job Title: Buyer III
Location: Melbourne, Florida (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Buyer III supporting a fast-paced aerospace environment where procurement expertise makes a direct impact. Our team is looking for an experienced purchasing professional who can manage end-to-end indirect procurement, supplier negotiations, and sourcing activities across COTS products, ET/IT hardware, and aerospace-related goods and services.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for indirect materials and services, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bid evaluations.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and service while identifying opportunities to improve value and procurement efficiency.
- Procure standard COTS products and ET/IT hardware, including computing equipment, networking components, peripherals, test equipment, and other technical products.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, resolve quality, delivery, and invoice issues, and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
- Partner with IT, engineering, and other internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of procurement needs.
- Support procurement of aerospace-related materials, components, and services while adhering to applicable quality, traceability, compliance, and audit requirements.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably supporting indirect materials and services, with Buyer experience reflected in professional work history.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience procuring COTS products and IT/technology hardware.
- Experience managing the procurement lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and supplier management.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills with proficiency in procurement/ERP systems such as Coupa, Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work on-site in Melbourne, FL and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; experience in aerospace, defense, technical purchasing, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
