Job Title: Buyer II
Location: Melbourne, FL
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, services, and products to meet program needs.
- Collaborate with program leads to identify materials with long lead times.
- Select suppliers for bidding and awarding from an approved list to meet program goals.
- Prepare purchase orders using Coupa and Costpoint software.
- Manage supplier orders, monitor backlog, and adjust schedules as necessary.
- Work with logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tactical purchasing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
- APICS, CPM, CPSM, CSCP certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience in cross-functional team collaboration.
