Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer
Location: Pleasanton, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a technical expert to join our team, responsible for designing, maintaining, and automating a highly complex hybrid cloud environment. Our team is focused on delivering robust infrastructure solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency across cloud and on-premises platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Update, design, and automate provisioning for infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware components.
- Engineer and maintain secure environments across Oracle and Azure clouds as well as on-premises, supporting migration and performance improvements.
- Provide level 3 support in an on-call rotation, troubleshooting complex systems and collaborating with product and operations teams.
- Recommend and design system architectures in conjunction with other senior staff while managing redundancy, upgrades, and security across environments.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience, with 6+ years in engineering, systems design, and documentation.
- Progressive experience supporting large environments with Linux and Windows servers on bare metal, ESX, and cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in automation technologies such as Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, and strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, OCI), virtualization (VMware ESX/ESXi/vCenter), and container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
