Job Title: Construction Manager – Mid-level
Location: Newark, Delaware (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee and manage construction activities related to electric utility projects. Our team values strong coordination, leadership, and a commitment to safety across distribution, transmission, and substation operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction progress and quality, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards for electric utility projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations and standards on all construction sites, preparing project documentation, reports, and drawings as needed.
- Provide on-site field representation and support project teams with assigned tasks, including conducting site meetings and collaborating with project managers and senior management.
Required:
- Demonstrated experience in electric utility distribution, substation, and transmission construction activities.
- Ability to understand and apply electrical outage protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Proficiency using computers and familiarity with software tools such as uPPM, Asset Suite 8, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and basic digital communication platforms (email, texting, instant messaging).
- Capable of preparing and submitting daily reports, observations, and project documentation as required by company procedures.
