Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Owings Mills, Maryland (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the operation and maintenance of a critical data center environment. Our team relies on this position to ensure the reliability, safety, and smooth operation of data center infrastructure through preventative maintenance and strategic monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and site rounds, monitoring and recording critical system data.
- Operate and maintain both critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems in the data center, including HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression components.
- Respond to and coordinate resolution of electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring rapid recovery and clear communication with related teams.
- Oversee outside contractors to ensure compliance with critical facility work protocols and conduct facility rounds to maintain data center standards.
Required:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in critical facilities or similar environments.
- Basic skills in HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression systems.
- Prior military service or technical school training preferred.
- 1-3+ years’ experience in mission critical environments and an electrical or mechanical license, preferred.
