Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Baltimore, Maryland (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking skilled professionals to support critical infrastructure and operational excellence in a vital data center environment. Our team is dedicated to ensuring optimal performance and reliability of essential systems through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and strict adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain critical and non-critical infrastructure, equipment, and systems within the data center, prioritizing safety and reliability at all times.
- Conduct routine facility rounds and site monitoring, including recording data, monitoring pumps and fire systems, and responding to infrastructure issues as needed.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage planned and unplanned maintenance, and assist in developing and executing operating procedures and preventive inspections.
- Coordinate with external contractors, oversee data center and grounds upkeep, and effectively communicate and escalate issues to leadership as necessary.
Required:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in facility operations, including HVAC, electrical, and fire suppression skills.
- Prior military or technical school training is preferred.
- 1-3+ years of experience in Mission Critical Environments is preferred.
- Electrical or mechanical license is preferred.
