Job Title: Datacenter Engineer
Location: Itasca, Illinois (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to support the design, operation, and maintenance of secure, highly available enterprise data center environments. Our team ensures business-critical infrastructure remains resilient and fully supported to meet organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy server and network technology within data center environments, following established standards and procedures.
- Perform physical data center operations, including rack and stack, structured copper and fiber cabling installation, hardware break-fix, and asset management.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and remote hands staff, emphasizing safety, operational discipline, and precise documentation.
- Operate within formal change, incident, and access management processes using standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systems.
Required:
- Direct experience with physical data center operations, including rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset management.
- Solid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controls in an enterprise data center environment.
- Familiarity with standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systems.
- Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration skills, and ability to document and communicate work effectively across multiple teams.
