Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Elk River, Minnesota (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic professional to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials and production activities, enhancing on-time customer delivery and production efficiency. Our team is looking for an individual with a strong background in production planning to ensure schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, and seamless collaboration across multiple departments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production control activities, including production order review, material shortage analysis, and cycle counting to maintain schedule adherence and inventory accuracy.
- Create, distribute, and maintain shop orders, making adjustments to quantities and dates to align production with customer requirements and optimize workflow.
- Lead daily production meetings with stakeholders from Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to address priorities and issues affecting continuity of production.
- Develop production plans to eliminate customer shortages, minimize excess inventory, and ensure on-time delivery, while collaborating closely with Supply Chain and Customer Service.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least two (2) years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of production planning methodologies and systems, including capacity planning and machine shop scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, MRP, and ERP systems; Oracle or comparable ERP experience preferred.
- Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with ability to develop, maintain, and analyze planning and performance metrics.
