Job Title: Door Systems and Access Control Specialist
Location: Devens, Massachusetts (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to support the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of doors and access-related systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Our team is looking for someone who brings a strong mechanical mindset, electrical troubleshooting ability, and a proactive approach to keeping critical facility systems running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and test a variety of door systems, access hardware, and related components across the facility.
- Install, configure, and support access control devices, including proximity sensors, mag locks, e-strikes, latches, and key access components.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, patch and paint repairs, lighting support, furniture moves, and other assigned facility work.
- Complete preventive maintenance, documentation, safety checks, and coordination with vendors, contractors, and facility leadership as needed.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to analyze door and gate systems, identify malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including Gmail, Google Docs, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work overtime or call-in shifts as needed; regular attendance and punctuality are required.
- Willingness to work in a multi-skilled team environment and follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, hazardous materials policies, and state, county, or city ordinances, codes, or laws.
- Knowledge of GMP procedures is helpful, and previous lab or manufacturing environment experience with cGMP exposure is desired; AAADM certification for automatic door installation, inspection, and maintenance is preferred.
