Job Title: Drafter
Location: Austin, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven professional to join our team focused on providing custom engineering solutions within a collaborative environment. Our team values technical excellence and teamwork as we support project objectives for turnkey test and measurement solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Generate custom mechanical drawings, detailed designs, and Bills of Materials for system components.
- Design, model, and prototype mechanical system elements to meet project deliverables and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external contract manufacturers to gather requirements and ensure completion of custom mechanical design needs for each project.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed, potentially up to 25%, to support project objectives.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in a mechanical drafting role.
- Highly proficient with CREO, with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience.
- In-depth knowledge of 2D and 3D design tools such as CREO, Pro/E, or SolidWorks, and strong proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
