Job Title: Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Genoa, Ohio (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer – Power Innovation (Commissioning) to support the safe, reliable, and efficient commissioning and startup of power generation and energy systems. Our team is looking for a hands-on engineer who can drive testing, verification, troubleshooting, and turnover activities while helping ensure systems are ready for operation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering support across pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and system turnover activities.
- Lead and support testing, verification, troubleshooting, and functional validation of switchgear, transformers, generators, protection relays, and control systems..
- Work directly in the field with Project Management, Construction, Controls, Operations, and vendors to resolve punch list items and support system readiness for handover.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or commissioning, with hands-on experience supporting gas turbine projects within power generation, industrial, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment, electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, control systems, commissioning, testing, and startup processes.
- Ability to work on-site in active construction, commissioning, and startup environments, including 12-hour 7-day on/off rotating shifts, nights, holidays, and industrial conditions.
