Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Reno, Nevada (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Reno, NV. This role is responsible for developing custom electrical designs, producing engineering documentation, and providing technical support for manufacturing and customer projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD, electrical design, and industrial control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for custom customer orders.
- Collaborate with drafters, engineers, supervisors, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Review and approve drawings and BOMs for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Support quotation and sales teams in selecting appropriate products and technical solutions.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing during production.
- Assist with engineering change requests, non-material requests (NMRs), and project documentation.
- Provide electrical design guidance to drafters and designers.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and engineering documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
