Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Houston, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (General) to support moderately difficult engineering assignments that require technical evaluation, innovation, and sound judgment. This role plays an important part in improving reliability, supporting compliance, and helping maintain safe and effective operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform moderately difficult engineering assignments and support mid-sized technical projects independently.
- Contribute to operational reliability by supporting electrical infrastructure and voltage system improvements.
- Coordinate third-party contractors and assist with electrical equipment outage and maintenance activities.
- Review electrical drawings, management of change plans, work plans, and arc flash study recommendations.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety treated as an utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
Must Haves:
- Experience with electrical systems in MCC (Motor Control Center) buildings, including generators and other building electrical infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of generator systems and electrical components within industrial facilities.
- Solid understanding and application of NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately once per week and as needed for project support.
