Job Title: Electrical Engineer (General)
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity supporting complex electrical engineering work tied to critical infrastructure and operational reliability. This position offers the chance to contribute to power system design, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration on solutions that help improve performance, safety, and long-term efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure.
- Support advanced technologies, including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage, to improve performance and reduce operating costs.
- Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and facility upgrades.
- Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion while aligning with business goals, timelines, budgets, safety, and regulatory standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university, or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited college or university in a relevant field with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and four years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a main priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
- Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements; working knowledge of electrical design codes such as NEC, NEMA, API, and IEEE.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, PE licensure, PLC experience, project management experience, Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC project experience, instrumentation systems experience, power system design tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, or Simulink, and commissioning/testing/startup experience.
- Will require FERC SOC training and FERC ICA training.
