Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager
Location: Poughkeepsie, New York (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Manager opportunity supporting critical electrical operations within a large-scale facility environment. We are looking for a proven leader who can help ensure reliable performance, coordinate maintenance and vendor activity, and support electrical engineering needs across projects and campus operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations and maintenance activities for the high voltage team, ensuring timely completion of preventative and reactive work orders.
- Oversee vendor maintenance programs and coordinate repairs for UPS systems, generators, static transfer switches, ATSs, load centers, and related electrical distribution equipment.
- Support electrical engineering needs for campus projects by developing scopes of work, cost estimates, design reviews, and field switching procedures.
- Coordinate with client stakeholders, utility contacts, and project partners while maintaining documentation, reporting on electrical events, and supporting critical system reliability.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in medium-high voltage electrical systems.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory or people management role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, generators, critical environment support equipment, and medium voltage operations.
- Experience with CMMS work order management systems, Excel, and Word.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage vendor relationships and contracts, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
