Job Title: Electrician
Location: Goleta, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled electrician to support mission-critical research and development laboratory environments, including cleanroom and bench lab spaces. We are looking for a hands-on professional to help maintain reliable electrical infrastructure, support sensitive operations, and contribute to safe, compliant facility performance.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and monitor building systems to help ensure reliable operation of lab-related electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain single- and three-phase electrical systems, lighting, panels, branch circuits, and motor controls up to 480V.
- Run conduit, pull wire, terminate circuits, and complete scheduled preventative maintenance on lighting, emergency lighting, EXIT signage, distribution panels, and motor equipment.
- Document work orders in CMMS, support emergency response needs, and provide cross-trade assistance with light plumbing, HVAC support, and general facility repairs.
Required:
- Valid Electrical License, such as Journeyman or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience with working knowledge of NEC requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems and lighting systems, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and drawing packages.
- Experience working in a CMMS-driven maintenance environment with strong electrical safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA compliance.
- Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, critical power distribution in raised floor environments, backup power systems, large-scale UPS, changeover switch-gear, and emergency power distribution at panel level.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, operate scissor lifts up to 20 feet, and lift up to 50 lbs.
