Job Title: Electrician
Location: Richmond, Virginia (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting the search for a skilled electrician to help maintain, repair, and improve electrical systems at a busy facility. This opportunity offers hands-on work across preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency response, and collaboration with a broad range of building professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, repair, and replace electrical wiring, control systems, lighting systems, fixtures, transformers, breakers, cables, and related components.
- Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and support circuit breaker corrective maintenance and infrared scan activities.
- Document service work, inspections, and system modifications accurately using CMMS and digital reporting tools while following applicable codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with facility managers, engineers, HVAC technicians, contractors, vendors, and other trades to complete work efficiently, support client needs, and contribute to special projects and on-call coverage.
Required:
- Virginia electrician license.
- Successful completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
- 4+ years of electrical contracting experience.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Experience using CMMS or another work order management system.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required by client sites.
- Good understanding of electrical theory, with the ability to read electrical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and using stairs and ladders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
