Job Title: Electrician
Location: Lansing, Michigan (On-Site)
Shifts: 10pm-6:30am and 2pm-10:30pm
Job Summary: We are recruiting for an Electrician opportunity supporting a high-volume industrial environment with a focus on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe, reliable operations. This role offers the chance to contribute to essential production support work while helping maintain equipment performance and workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and alter electrical services, equipment, and controls using approved materials and properly sized wire, conduit, raceways, and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting work in an industrial setting, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
- Apply NFPA 70E standards and use appropriate Arc Flash PPE when working on equipment.
- Support safe, efficient operations by maintaining work areas and equipment, reporting unsafe conditions, and assisting with other trade work as required.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- State of Michigan or UAW Journeyman’s Electrician License, or 8 years of verified experience.
- Current union membership, or willingness to join the union.
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing, minimum 2 years of trade experience, ability to work without direct supervision, and availability for call-in work when required.
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, standing, climbing, and walking, and to safely use manual tools and power equipment common in building maintenance.
- Understanding of and compliance with Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Preferred: CMMS and/or database experience, superior customer service skills, strong attention to detail, excellent planning and organizational skills, and a collaborative work style.
