Job Title: Embedded Software Development Engineer
Location: Murrysville, Pennsylvania (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled technical professional to join our team in developing high-quality software for medical device applications. Our team values rigorous software engineering practices and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions that positively impact end users in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full software development process, including the integration of software components and third-party libraries.
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
- Analyze and optimize application performance to meet system efficiency and user experience benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while resolving technical requests in creative and effective ways.
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in areas such as software development, software design and architecture, testing, and quality assurance, or 3 years of prior experience with a Master’s degree.
- Experience with firmware design and development in embedded applications using C/C++ and working within hardware domains.
- Software development history in the medical device industry or other highly regulated environments, including software configuration management in GitHub and providing quality documentation aligned with medical device standards.
