Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven professional to deliver embedded feature support for new PXI instruments, contributing to the research, design, development, and release of innovative solutions. Our team values effective collaboration, technical expertise, and a passion for solving complex hardware-software integration challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver embedded feature support for new PXI instruments through research, design, development, documentation, and release activities.
- Collaborate with team members and project leaders on design discussions and code architecture for advanced software solutions.
- Troubleshoot product defects and work with the team to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Develop tests to ensure high code quality and proactively identify future regressions.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or similar field).
- 2+ years of software development experience with embedded firmware, kernel, or low-level hardware-software integration.
- Proficiency in Linux driver development with at least 1 year of professional experience and object-oriented programming skills in C++.
- Demonstrated understanding of software design and computer architecture principles, including operating system components, data structures, and experience with testing frameworks.
