Job Title: Engineer
Location: New Albany, Ohio (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team supporting secondary packaging engineering initiatives at a state-of-the-art facility. Our team plays a critical role in managing and executing projects related to pharmaceutical packaging, ensuring optimal processes, materials, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects involving entry-level engineers and contingent workers while overseeing timelines and priorities for packaging initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend new secondary packaging materials for pharmaceutical products, executing technical assessments and solution implementation.
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations, and submit technical assessment reports to justify selected packaging materials, as well as develop technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies to ensure cGMP and compliance, manage change control procedures, and support technology transfer for packaging components and equipment processes.
Required:
- Doctorate degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field; OR Master’s degree and 5 years of packaging engineering experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of packaging engineering experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies and tools, with experience supporting implementation of commercial packaging configurations.
- Strong technical communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to learn new systems (SAP, PLM, Smartsheet, etc.) and excel in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
