Job Title: Engineer
Location: Morrisville, North Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Engineer to support pilot scale development activities focused on lab runs, data aggregation, and modeling for manufacturing recombinant proteins at pilot scale. Our team is looking for a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to end-to-end operations, help maintain lab productivity, and support process improvements that advance key development milestones.
Responsibilities:
- Support development lab runs and end-to-end operations of fed batch platform development using stainless and disposable equipment.
- Operate stainless and single-use equipment from thaw through DS fill while supporting lab work tied to CMC milestones and pilot goals.
- Plan, document, and analyze experiments, and use modeling tools for process predictions.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and support equipment commissioning, lab upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a lab environment or biotechnology company.
- Solid background in a laboratory setting with experience in sterile technique and biologics development preferred.
- Strong laboratory, computer, documentation, organizational, and communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and maintain a strong work ethic.
