Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (onsite); open to candidates working from the New Albany, OH or Cambridge, OH offices
Job Summary: We are seeking an Environmental Specialist IV to support complex environmental compliance work across Power Innovation projects from development through operational handoff. Our team is looking for someone who can translate permit conditions and environmental commitments into practical compliance actions, helping keep project execution organized, documented, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve environmental compliance processes, procedures, plans, and tools.
- Interpret permit conditions, regulatory requirements, and environmental commitments into clear project and contractor obligations.
- Coordinate compliance planning, scheduling, and cost estimating for inspections, monitoring, reporting, training, and recordkeeping.
- Support project teams, contractors, consultants, and field personnel to verify compliance performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Required:
- 2–4 years of experience in Environmental Compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
- Required experience with Stormwater / Utilities / Construction-related Environmental Compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vendors, contractors, regulatory agencies, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with environmental inspectors and coordinating/managing inspectors and site personnel.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
- Approximately 20% travel required, primarily between Pittsburgh and Ohio locations, with travel typically occurring 3–4 times per week for inspections and contractor meetings.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required. Approved travel expenses will be covered.
- A company vehicle may be provided to candidates who meet Williams’ safety requirements.
- If a company vehicle is not provided, candidates may use their personal vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
