Job Title: Facilities Equipment Engineer
Location: Charleston, South Carolina (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team driving building controls, automation, and infrastructure projects that support operational excellence across the organization. Our team values innovation and collaboration to ensure the efficient and reliable performance of critical building systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support technical troubleshooting and remediation for Building Management Systems / Building Automation Systems, including controllers, field devices, sensors, and system integrations.
- Analyze and resolve BMS alarms, faults, and unattended conditions; determine root cause and implement corrective actions to reduce nuisance alarms and false trips.
- Coordinate the rollout and integration of enterprise SCADA platforms for building and infrastructure monitoring, addressing configuration and connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee contractors, and produce monthly reports on system performance, incident resolution, and trends.
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering or engineering technology, with electrical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
- 8+ years of related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience as a controls engineer working with Building Automation Systems, Building and Equipment Controllers, and SCADA systems; experience with modern communication protocols including Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, and BACnet.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting Industrial Communication Networks utilizing network analyzing software and tools, as well as developing and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders.
