Job Title: Facilities Technician
Location: Ashland, VA (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to support the daily operation of facility services across two sites in Ashland, Virginia. This hands-on opportunity offers a varied workload spanning preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and general building support in a campus environment with strong visibility and impact.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and perform repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Inspect drainage systems, clear blockages, and respond to restroom and fixture repair needs as required.
- Support compressed air systems and dock/loading equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and vendor follow-up.
- Prioritize PMs, corrective work orders, and emergency requests while maintaining clear communication, accurate logs, and timely follow-through.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools, plus proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS platforms like Maximo or Corrigo.
- Valid driver’s license and availability for call-in work, including the ability to arrive on site within 2 hours for emergency service response.
