Key responsibilities:
- The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting firewall and VPN incidents, identifying root cause of incidents, and making appropriate recommendations to resolve them. The individual will need to review vulnerability, compliance risks, and fault analysis on perimeter devices and develop and implement remediation plans. This individual will also participate in the on-call rotation and annual projects as assigned.
Must have technical skills/experience
- Experience: Proven experience in large enterprise data center environments with Fortinet firewalls (specifically larger models in clusters and High Availability setups) running 7.x code, and Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4.
- VPN Support: Expertise in configuring and administrating client VPNs using Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4, supporting up to 30,000 users.
- Fortinet Tools: Proficiency with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Firepower Management Console, and FortiAuthenticator.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal training.
- Availability: Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and handle weekend change windows.
- Tools: Proficiency in using ServiceNow for incident management and change requests. Experience in Splunk, LiveNX, and Entuity for troubleshooting a plus.
