Job Title: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Mattawan, Michigan (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a company seeking a dependable maintenance professional to help keep facilities operating safely, efficiently, and in good condition. Our team is looking for someone who can handle a broad range of hands-on building upkeep tasks, document work accurately in a CMMS, and deliver high-quality service in a professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance and general repair activities throughout the facility.
- Complete painting, patching, drywall repair, and finishing work on walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces.
- Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, roof patching, exterior repair, and grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and a CMMS to receive assignments, update work orders, document completed work, and maintain accurate records.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of drywall repair, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ability to safely operate common hand tools and power tools.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use a computer, tablet, or mobile device for work order updates and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
