Job Title: Lab Manager
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a company seeking a detail-oriented professional to help keep chemistry laboratory operations running smoothly. This role focuses on lab support, equipment readiness, supply coordination, housekeeping, and timely response to day-to-day requests that help the team stay productive.
Responsibilities:
- Perform periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Support daily laboratory operations by cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies, and maintaining laboratory housekeeping.
- Prepare chemical solutions and media, maintain laboratory reagents and supplies, and coordinate disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical waste.
- Record data, perform basic mathematical computations, review temperature monitoring charts, and assist with special projects as assigned.
Required:
- Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, or an associate’s degree with 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of experience.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Customer service skills, knowledge of lab operations, and computer skills.
- Ability to follow all applicable SOPs and procedures; phone screen and on-site interview with the hiring manager and two other DSTS leaders are part of the interview process.
