Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting cutting-edge research? We’re seeking a Lab Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining smooth and efficient laboratory operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Service Requests: Manage service requests for lab instruments, partnering with external vendors to ensure timely resolution.
- Equipment Management: Assist with the installation, relocation, and compliance checks of lab equipment to support ongoing research activities.
- Training Facilitation: Conduct training sessions for vendors and end users to ensure proper utilization of lab equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
- Internal Equipment Moves: Organize and execute internal laboratory equipment moves while maintaining accurate tracking systems.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborate with support teams to address departmental and site-wide challenges, optimizing scientific workflows.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects aimed at enhancing laboratory operations and supporting departmental initiatives.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain clear communication and documentation of tasks, procedures, and outcomes to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year working in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
