Job Title: Lead Operating Engineer
Location: Costa Mesa, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a great opportunity for a skilled facilities professional to help oversee building operations and engineering excellence at a busy site. This role is focused on maintaining critical building systems, supporting safe and efficient day-to-day operations, and helping lead a team that keeps the facility running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Lead joint supervision of engineering department staff and help coordinate preventive maintenance, equipment installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Inspect equipment, monitor building systems, and support maintenance practices in line with established standards.
- Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generator, and emergency backup systems.
- Monitor building management systems, respond to alarms, coordinate emergency repair activities, manage permits, and support on-call emergency response.
Required:
- Journeyman or master level experience.
- Industrial or commercial experience.
- Experience in a research and development site environment.
- Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response.
